Time Flies

Ok there has been soooo going on and I have not written in sooo long, here you go with a jam packed update on what has been happening in the life of the Brittons. Last month we had a 15 year old girl move in with us, her name is Mukamaana Joyce(pictured above). She is in P7 (6th grade) and is needing to live on site during this important year of the education system here in Uganda. It has been great, she is a very peaceful girl who is a great help around the house and the kids love her.
Mary began teaching a music course for some of the missionary children (thanks Chris Brown). It teaches music basics including music appreciation and listening skills, rythm and movement. Geoff has been preaching more lately including last week and again this Easter Sunday. Today we showed the Passion of Christ at 2 different times, once with Luganda interpretation and the other strictly English. We also loaded the entire staff from New Hope (85 people) into a lorry and took them to the vocational school for a surprise field trip. Geoff led the tour until the rains caught us and everyone had to cram into the classrooms to stay dry. The rains have begun and in force, every day since Tuesday it has rained buckets so you know what that means...MUD!!! The maize mill at the vocational school is ready to open, our house plans have been approved and we are preparing to begin clearing the land. Kevin turns 4 this Sunday and we will be hosting 15 kids of various ages and cultures for a little birhday fun. One of the pictures is of Kevin and Sammy a neighbor kid playing, he is the fastest 4 year old we have ever seen and he spends most days here playing dispite his lack of English skills the kids love him. OK I am out of breath from all that so for now ENOUGH!! We will try and get a newsletter out this next week. BYE
